US Regulations: An Overview

This document provides an overview of the global food chain and the global food system. It also addresses food safety certifications and US regulations, with emphasis on the US Food and Drug Administration, Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and new responsibilities for importers. This presentation was delivered at the 10th EDF SPS Project Final Conference and Symposium held in Christ Church, Barbados, on 23 February 2017.
